Im not so happy with my current running shoes. They constantly make my heels hurt. I guess it's what I get for not spending more than 50 bucks on them at the Shoe Carnival. So Im curious what kind of shoes does everyone use for running ? Mine are currently New Balance 550s.

 
I'm wearing New Balance Classic 574's at the moment.  I'm not having any problems with any heel pain or anything in them, but I'm not putting that many miles on per week right now either.  I like NB as they seem to accomodate my wide ass feet better than a lot of shoes.  That and they are often at a good deal, and I'm too Dutch to pass 'em up.

I definitely want a pair of these.

I picked up a pair of these the other day at MC Sports on Clearance Sale for under 40 bucks.  I've been using them for about 10 days and I'm really quite impressed.  I've often found Asics to have decent shoes, and usually inexpensive, but these are really pleasing me. 

 They are pretty light, they offer good support, they fit my wide ass feet, and they seem to help me not roll on the outside of my foot as much.  I actually like them so much I'm going to head back to MC on Friday and see if I can snag another pair up.

 How long have you had them?  I find that my running shoes start wearing out between 6 months and a year... and they end up hurting my heels, Achilles tendons and joints.  Maybe that's just me.. it irritates me though because the shoes look and feel fine on a short run but end up hurting me on anything more than 3km.  I usually run on Adidas or Mizuno, but honestly my Choice is generally based on price rather than brand, :D
