I felt pretty good the next day considering I sat on a plane for 7 hours after the race on Saturday night flying back to the UK. I banged my toe on a rock about mile 14 and it started to bleed but I kept running and it eventually stopped. I wasn't prepared for a 50K trail run. I thought it was going to be mixed trail/flat surface race but the entire course was trail with just a very short flat surface area. I'm used to running on flat surfaces here in the UK with NO HUMIDITY!
Dean was really nice. I got to see him finish the 50 mile race. I talked to him at the post race celebration BBQ. I thought this race would put me off running for a while considering how I felt crossing the finish line but I found myself searching the web yesterday for another 50K
