I ran in The Great Eastern Run in Peterborough today and came away with a new half marathon PB, 1:36:16! I was able to cut 4 minutes off my previous PB, which I set at this race last year. The flat course and great crowds make this a very good run to set a PB at.
Congratz! Thats a great Increase! If you edit it to be 13.1 miles it will show up on the top users - 1/2 marathon race list. And you'll be number 2 and number 3!
Nice job and congratulations! How was the weather and how do you feel physically?
PS, you should taper more before a race like this so that I can gain some ground on you for the overall distance crown :-)
The weather was perfect for running, not too cold and not too hot. I felt good afterwards. At mile 3 I felt that maybe I had taken off too fast but by mile 6 I had settled into a rhythm and finished with no problems. After taking all of September off from running I feel like I need to make up for it by logging extra miles this month. I´ve been keeping my runs short so far in order to get ready for a 10K next weekend that I really want to do good in.
